Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrive in Bangkok
Your tour guide will meet you at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport for a convenient transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon a relaxing cycling trip will take you through the fascinating Bang Ka Ja area boasting a unique waterways network, local markets, small roads and the traditional and laid-back Thai ambience of Bangkok’s yesteryear.
Day 2: Travel to Samut Songkhram
Today’s adventure starts with the drive to Samut Songkhram, where the bus will stop at a lively country market positioned along the railway tracks. After strolling around the market you’ll visit one of the area’s numerous local floating markets. By paddleboat you’ll navigate through the network of canals while stopping en-route to visit the locals and several Buddhist temples. Finally you’ll arrive at the gorgeous Rama II Park housing the Thai-style Pavilion Museum. You are free in the afternoon to explore Bangkok at your leisure.
Day 3: Travel to Khao Yai
A fast ride out of the capital will take you to a renowned Chachensao temple before navigating the river by boat to a stunningly well-preserved century-old market giving you the option to purchase local goods and souvenirs, visit a sacred Chinese temple and sample some mouth-watering Thai cuisine. The trip continues with a visit to a magnificent tropical garden where a respected local doctor may check your health in a traditional Thai way. Along the way to Khao Yai there will be a short coffee break at Tap Lan National Park.
Day 4: Stay in Khao Yai
Today you can spend your time enjoying the resort’s many recreational amenities which include spa and massage treatments, biking and golfing. In the late afternoon you’ll be driven down winding lanes through rural landscape to the Grande Monte winery to sample some excellent fruity wines. You’ll have the option to enjoy dinner at the restaurant here or dine back at the Kirimaya Resort.
Day 5: Travel to Khao Yai National Park
Today’s first ride will take you to the renowned Khao Yai National Park where a scenic hike through the lush forests gives you the fantastic opportunity to observe some of the environment’s wildlife from a short distance. Today’s tour continues with a visit to the spectacular Heow Suwat waterfall, which also features in the movie The Beach. You can take a refreshing dip in the cool water. In the afternoon you are free before heading out on a night safari through the park. Again you’ll have a great chance to spot some wildlife such as deer, wild dogs, elephants and porcupines.
Day 6: Travel back to Bangkok
The morning hours may be spend at your leisure before you’ll be transferred back to Bangkok. Along the way there’s a stop in Saraburi where you’ll visit a renowned footprint of the Lord Buddha.
