Day 1: Bangkok sightseeing tour

Bangkok and Khao Yai adventurous tour

Your guide will meet you at Bangkok Airport and provide transportation to the prestigious Siam Heritage Hotel. Your tour begins with a visit to the Grand Palace in Bangkok’s spiritual heart which houses the famous Emerald Buddha along with brilliant throne halls. At the city’s oldest Buddhist temple, Wat Po you’ll be impressed by the enormous statue of the reclining Lord Buddha while you can also visit the highly acclaimed massage school.

Day 2: Visit Damnoen Saduak Floating Market

Today you have the opportunity to absorb some of Thailand’s authentic way of life by exploring the colourful floating market while you gently navigate through the network of narrow canals. The tour continues visiting Rama II Park that boasts Thai style houses offering unique exhibitions which provide insight into daily life during King Rama II's reign. In the afternoonyou’re free to relax at your hotel or explore the neighbourhood.

Day 3: River cruise onboard the Mekhala

Wonderfully converted into a luxurious floating hotel, the Mekhala once was a rice barge. Today you’ll experience an unforgettable trip upstream from the Thai capital on this gorgeous boat. A romantic candlelit dinner will be served as dusk falls.

Day 4: Cruise to Ayuthaya

Participating in a Buddhist tradition donating alms to the monks may be an option for those who can get up very early. After a rich breakfast the Mekhala will take you to the magnificent Summer Palace in Bang Pa In. This structure is one of the country’s finest examples of Thai architectural styles. The tour continues navigating along the river to Ayuthaya. A must-see for history buffs, this ancient capital city boasts magnificent ruins. Next will be the drive to rural Uthaithani where you’ll visit the Wat Tasung Buddhist temple and the Golden and Crystal hills.

Day 5: Travel to Kanchanaburi

In the morning before the voyage to Kanchanaburi starts participants have the option to stroll along the lively market and absorb some of the countryside’s languid pace of life. Upon arriving in Kanchanaburi two hours later, you can pay respect to the many soldiers who lost their lives in World War II at the war cemetery and JEATH Museum or even travel a distance along the notorious railway of death through the stunning Kwai Noi gorge if you have sufficient time left.

Day 6: Visit elephant camp and return to Bangkok

In the mornign the tour travels to the elephant training camp where you’ll make a trip sitting on the back of this mighty creature. After your elephant-back riding adventure you’ll peacefully navigate down the Kwai Yai River. The Tiger Temple (Wat Pha Luang Ta Bua) will be visited in the afternoon. At this rescue centre you can see the tigers from a short distance when in the evening the monks walk these huge pussycats.
