James Blunt plays Bangkok tomorrow

You’re Beautiful singer James Blunt will play live in Bangkok tomorrow night. The English singer is scheduled to perform at Muang Thong Thani’s Impact Arena in Nonthaburi as part of the world tour to promote his newest album, Some Kind of Trouble.    

The album is Blunt’s third and features tracks such as Stay the Night, Superstar and the iconic So Far Gone. Blunt shared writing credits for the creations with Ryan Tedder of One Republic.

Blunt’s current tour began in the UK in February and is due to finish in Geneva in October. The singer has already been to the US and Australia, and is due to play several more dates in Asia before moving on to South Africa.

In a career that began when the composer-singer took the music industry by storm in 2004 with Back to Bedlam, his debut album, and You’re Beautiful, he has notched up worldwide album sales of more than 15 million. The single hit the top of the charts in almost 20 countries and reached the top 10 in another 30.

In 2007, Blunt’s second studio album, All the Lost Souls, featured tracks including Carry You Home and 1973, and went straight to the top of the charts in 10 countries.

Tomorrow night’s concert is being sponsored by Singha Corporation and tickets are priced between 1,000 and 4,000 Baht.
