Disney on Ice skates to Bangkok

11 Mar 2013

Fun-lovers in Bangkok will be transported into a fantasy world next week when the latest Disney on Ice production arrives. Princesses & Heroes will be on stage at Muang Thong Thani’s Impact Arena from Friday through to Monday with a total of 11 different performances.

The shows, which are being staged in conjunction with local sponsor BIG C Super Centre, are a dazzling display of the finest acrobatics and costumes adapted to the time-honoured Disney classics. Producer Kenneth Feld and show-director Patty Vincent both say the visual extravaganza is the culmination of their dreams to stage the premium performance of this genre.

Tinker Bell is all set to steer audiences through the secret wishes of eight legendary princesses including Snow White, Aurora and Cinderella. The princes in the stories play true heroes and enable their princesses’ desires to be granted and come true.

The production has not omitted new princesses Rapunzel and Tiana or their playmates Prince Naveen and Flynn Rider. The first Bangkok Disney on Ice 2013 showing is at 11:00 on Friday 22 March. There are two more shows on the same day and the final one at 19:00 is a gala performance.

There are three shows on both Saturday and Sunday with two more on Monday 25 March. The 11:00 Performance on Saturday is English language. Ticket prices range between 600 and 2,000 Baht each and are available from Thai Ticket Major’s website and other designated outlets.

A search through the pages of the 1Stop Bangkok guide gives plenty of ideas for activities and interesting attractions for children.
